The eagle eyes over at Domain Name Wire found an amusing list of names Bank of America is snatching up ahead of a possible WikiLeaks document dump (via Business Insider, via our markets writer Hibah, whew).
Most the names revolve around BofA CEO Brian Moynihan and all the potential ways he could be deemed, well, terrible.
As DNW puts it: “For example, the company registered a number of domains for CEO Brian Moynihan: BrianMoynihanBlows.com, BrianMoynihanSucks.com, BrianTMoynihanBlows.com, and BrianTMoynihanSucks.com… I count hundreds of such domain name registrations on December 17 alone. They were registered through an intermediary that frequently registers domain names on behalf of large companies.”
Methinks the Internet might be a tad more creative than merely saying something “sucks.”
On a probably only semi-related note, I rarely say something sucks because of a childhood psychological trauma. In the car ride home from a soccer game in fifth grade, I announced that losing the game “sucked.” Mama Peps slammed on the brakes, swerved into a parking lot and embarked on a rant that ended with her asking me if I knew the anatomical connotation of “sucks.” Now I just say someone’s a poopyhead. -Julianne
