Instagram’s instant growth

Instagram’s Kevin Systrom spoke about his app’s growth at TechCrunch Disrupt this morning. The photo sharing app has taken off in the last months.

Check out these stats:

10 photos posted per second, 4 million users, 4 employees.

That’s a million users per employee! No pressure, right? Not so bad for a company that launched in the last year. 

We spoke with Kevin afterwards. The young founder has a pretty interesting story. He interned at Odeo, which spun off into Twitter and also helped build Gmail at Google. Now he has us addicted to his photo sharing app. Story and vid posting soon. -Laurie
